Joseph Sanders

Joseph “Joe” Allen Sanders, 66, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Owen Valley Health Campus in Spencer, Indiana.Joe was born April 13, 1960, in Linton, Indiana, to Edwin and Donna (Welsh) Sanders. He was a 1978 graduate of Owen Valley High School and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, Joe dedicated many years to the Bloomington Police Department, retiring after a respected career in law enforcement.Joe found joy in the simple things that made life meaningful: reading, cooking, riding motorcycles, and, above all, sharing time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his service, his steady presence, and the love he held for those closest to him.He is survived by his children, Heather Sanders; Hana (Josh) Dodds; Holli (Bradley) Sterrett; and Hunter (Colte) Sanders. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kit Collier, Rhett Dodds, Waylon Sterrett, Harlan Sanders, Huxley Sanders, and Elwyn Sanders; and by his siblings, Hilda Denny and Roe Sanders.Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Donna Sanders, and his brothers, Bob Sanders and Dan Sanders.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 N. Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana 47460. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Daniel Morgan

Daniel Joseph Morgan, age 46, of Linton, formerly of Spencer and Martinsville, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at his home. He was born in Martinsville on May 31, 1980, the son of Jerry Roach and Juanita (Morgan) Leland. Daniel worked in factories throughout his life. He enjoyed collecting knives, rings, and watches. He is survived by his wife of twelve years, Tamera S. (Hubbard) Morgan; his mother, Juanita Leland; and his son, Douglas Rex Morgan. He was preceded in death by his father. Lois West

Lois Gertrude (Simpson) West, 103, a longtime resident of Spencer, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2026, in Byron Center, Michigan.Born September 1, 1922, in Daviess County, Indiana, Lois was the daughter of Bert and Ada (Ault) Simpson. On November 26, 1942, she married Ballard West, with whom she shared many cherished years.Lois devoted much of her professional life to the accounting department at the Indiana University Student Health Center. She later continued her career at Macy’s department store in Bloomington. She was also a faithful member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bloomington.She is survived by her son, Larry (Suzanne) West of Alto, Michigan; her grandsons, Chris (Ashley) West and Andy (Maggie) West; her great-grandchildren, Norah, Isaac, Joseph, Tucker, Molly, and Jillian; and her brother, Gary Simpson.Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Ballard West; and her siblings, Lowell Simpson, Paul Eugene Simpson, Robert Simpson, Kenny Simpson, and Maxine Henson.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 N. Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana 47460. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
